Matt Patchan
6-7, 265, Offensive Tackle, Seffner (Armwood)
Explosive, energetic offensive lineman with the lean, quick body type that may project at defensive end. Runs 4.68 in the 40-yard dash. Three-year starter at Freedom High before transfer to Armwood. Father, Matt Sr., was an offensive lineman at the University of Miami (1985-87) and an NFL player. "Matt is wall-to-wall effort," Armwood coach Sean Callahan said. "He's the most explosive player I've ever coached. I'm thinking defense, but we'll see. You can find defensive ends. It's much harder to find offensive tackles with that type of pass-protection skills and pass-blocking skills." Selected for the Jan. 5 U.S. Army All-American Bowl at San Antonio, Texas.
COLLEGE CHOICE: Florida.
