Brandon Hotel Douses Fire

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to a call this morning at a Brandon hotel when a potted plant in the lobby caught fire.
Firefighters were called to Embassy Suites at 10220 Palm River Road at 4:30 a.m. The fire was extinguished by hotel staff before firefighters arrived, authorities said.
The lobby was evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
