Pasco County Sheriff's Office detectives have released video from a pharmacy medication robbery this month and hope someone can help identify the man who pulled off that holdup and at least one similar heist.
The robber walked into the CVS at 3511 U.S. 19 in Holiday just after 1 p.m. Dec. 13 and handed a note to a pharmacist at the back of the store, authorities said. The robber demanded prescription medicine and threatened to hurt the pharmacist if she did not comply.
The man had brown hair, seemed 35 to 40 years old and about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and had teeth missing, according to the sheriff's office. He wore sunglasses, a plaid shirt, dark denim shorts, sneakers and tube socks.
Once he had a prescription bottle in hand, he calmly walked out of the store.
A surveillance camera captured the crime on video. To watch it, go to TBO.com/video/xml/MGBZS1Y9OAF.html.
Detectives think the same man also is responsible for a Nov. 29 robbery at the CVS drugstore at 12015 Little Road in Hudson. The circumstances were similar, with the robber handing a pharmacist a threatening note, demanding medications and then walking away afterward.
No one was injured in either robbery.
Anyone who recognizes the man or has information about the robberies is asked to call sheriff's Detective Chris Beaman at 1-800-854-2862, Ext. 7841.
