TARPON SPRINGS - One disabled resident of a Tarpon Springs nursing home was arrested Wednesday on charges he sexually molested another disabled resident there, according to Tarpon Springs police.
Louis Correa, 62, was charged with two counts of performing a lewd and lascivious act on a disabled adult at Tarpon Bayou Center, a nursing home at 515 Chesapeake Drive, arrest affidavits say.
Correa, who is described as disabled in his arrest affidavits, is accused of improperly touching a 61-year-old woman while touching himself, the affidavits say. The woman was in a wheelchair and is in the later stages of dementia, the affidavits say.
She does not respond to hearing her name and is unable to speak or make sounds, the affidavit says. The assaults were witnessed by a third party.
