Voter registration books for the presidential preference primary election on Jan. 29, will close on Monday for all new registrants to the state, Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley said.
Voter registration applications mailed to the supervisor's office should bear a postmark no later than Dec. 31, or be brought directly to one of the four supervisor of elections offices in the county.
Applications completed at libraries or public assistance offices should bear a permanent date stamp no later than Dec. 31.
"Voters must be aware of election deadlines," Corley said. "We want all eligible voters to participate in the election process and registering or updating registration information is vital to participation."
The supervisor of elections offices, in the East Pasco Government Center in Dade City, the West Pasco Government Center in New Port Richey, the David "Hap" Clark Professional Center in Land O' Lakes, and the Village Market of Wesley Chapel, will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
