Plant City Man Wanted In Dec. 26 Slaying

DOVER - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office issued arrest warrants Thursday for Victor Carlos Martinez on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the death of Pascual Garcia Lopez.

Witnesses told authorities Lopez, 27, was sitting on his porch Wednesday at Starlight Mobile Home Park when he was approached by three men. They talked to Lopez, and one man pulled out a handgun and fired one shot, striking Lopez. He was able to make his way into his home, where he died, according to the sheriff's office.
Martinez is described as an 18-year-old white Hispanic male, 5-foot-10, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. His last known address was 619 Trapnell Road, Plant City. Deputies said Martinez may be driving a red 2000 Dodge Caravan with North Carolina tags.
