ST. PETERSBURG - A 41-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday evening when he tried driving his motorcycle from a parking lot onto a street and flipped it, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
David Taylor of St. Petersburg was thrown from the 2002 Harley-Davidson Softail, the Highway Patrol said. He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with serious injuries. Taylor was not wearing a helmet.
The accident occurred at 5:15 p.m. as Taylor was leaving a parking lot at 7361 46th Ave. N. onto 46th Avenue North, the patrol said.
