LAKELAND - Polk sheriff's deputies are searching for a 61-year-old woman missing since last night.
Frances "Faye" Basel, 2118 Saxon Lane, was last seen by her husband about 9:30 p.m. Charles Basel saw her near the front door when she said she was going to get their cat, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

No foul play is suspected by sheriff's investigators. Basel left her cell phone at the residence, and she has no drug or arrest history, the sheriff's office said.
They said she has a history of periods of confusion and wandering away. She is 5" 4" tall, weighs 150 pounds and has long black hair. She was last seen wearing a cream-colored long sleeve blouse and a woven skirt of a similar color.
Sheriff's office units have thoroughly searched the residence and surrounding areas with aircraft and bloodhounds to no avail. Anyone with information is asked to call the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 863-533-0344.
