TAMPA - Deputies are looking for a 29-year-old man who they say abducted his ex-girlfriend at knifepoint at about 5 p.m. today from her uncle's home.
Otano Anton Leggett
Otano Anton Leggett went to 934 Lakewood Ave. and after an argument took his ex-girlfriend, Danielle Perez, who lives there with her 52-year-old uncle, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies are looking for Leggett, who they say is driving Perez's bronze Kia Rio with Florida tag S989MK. Leggett is black, 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 220 pounds and with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue pullover shirt and red-, white-and-blue shorts.
Perez's uncle told deputies he was in another room when he heard Leggett and his niece arguing. Leggett demanded money from the woman, deputies said. The uncle tried to intervene and was struck, thrown to the floor and slapped. Leggett may have struck Perez, 24, who was bleeding from her nose, deputies said.
Deputies said Leggett has a criminal record. Warrants against Leggett include two counts of domestic battery, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.
Anyone with any information regarding this case is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
