Do you wince whenever you drive by one of those makeshift memorials on the side of the road where obviously some poor soul came to an abrupt end? How sad it is that relatives have such grief that they are drawn to these points of death wishing only to turn back the clock.
Sometimes I see toys, stuffed dolls and, lately on a light pole on Collier Parkway, a Christmas wreath above a memorial. How bad this family must feel, I can hardly imagine!
Tonight, on New Year's Eve, you should resolve to make sure your loved ones don't spend the rest of their lives crying on some roadside somewhere, or commemorating some light pole you only saw in the last instant of your life!
Some would say, "For God's sake drive safely." But if not for him, for your family and children maybe yet unborn.
