The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is awaiting alcohol test results on a man killed in a collision Sunday morning.
Johnny Williams, 26, of Riverview, ran a red light at Progress Boulevard as he headed south on 78th Street about 2:25 a.m., sheriff's office spokeswoman Debbie Carter says in a news release. He struck the right side of a 2000 Mitsubishi driven by Thomas Chrzanowski, 17, who had the green light, Carter said.
Williams was ejected from his 1995 Ford truck and died at the scene. Chrzanowski, of Riverview, is in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital, Carter said.
The sheriff's office is awaiting the results of alcohol tests on Williams. That could take 90 days, Carter said.
