TAMPA - A 21-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night and charged with first-degree murder in a slaying last week, Hillsborough County deputies said.
Jonathan Sanabria, of 18425 Bittern Ave., shot Miguel Angel Suarez, 25, several times, beat him and left him in the road near Himes and Sligh avenues, deputies said. Deputies identified Sanabria's name with a slightly different spelling.
Suarez, a Marine corporal, was found in the road Saturday. He died at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been walking home after a concert, the sheriff's office said.
Funeral services for Suarez are scheduled to take place Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with internment to follow at Florida National Cemetery.
