PLANT CITY - A 2-year-old Dover girl born with a hole in her heart will be getting some help Saturday.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Kidz Bounce Zone is celebrating its first year in business and will donate a portion of proceeds from its First Birthday Bouncing Bash to Kaitlyn Gee and her family.
The business is at 211-A W. Alexander St. in the Lake Walden Square plaza, off James L. Redman Parkway. Wristbands costing $2 will entitle children to unlimited visits to a variety of bounce houses. Hot dogs, popcorn, pizza and soda will be on sale for $1 each.
Face painting will cost $1, and proceeds will benefit Kaitlyn, who was diagnosed with a set of four heart abnormalities collectively called tetralogy of Fallot. Kaitlyn also suffers from other ailments including congestive heart failure and pulmonary regurgitation.
Kaitlyn is on a double lung transplant list, and the money raised Saturday will help pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance, said Michelle Gee, Kaitlyn's mother.
