Man Attacks Woman After She Rejects His Advances

After a woman verbally rejected a Tampa man who entered her bed and touched her inappropriately, he grabbed her by the neck, choked her and threatened to kill her, Hillsborough County deputies say.

The woman rejected his advances, after Steven Lee Braden slipped into his boarder's bed early Saturday morning and touched her inappropriately, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Then Braden grabbed the woman, who rents a room from him, by the neck, choked and threatened to kill her, the sheriff's office reported.

Braden, 39, of Tampa, was arrested Saturday on charges of sexual battery and aggravated battery. He remains in the Orient Road Jail, with bail set at $22,500.
