Arte 2007 celebrates visual and performing arts from South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Here's a sampling of the festival's events. For a complete schedule, go to artefestival.org.

•"Madeinusa": Film about a stranger from the city who encounters an innocent beauty living in an isolated village (in Spanish with English subtitles); presented in partnership with The Ybor Festival of the Moving Image; 7:30 p.m. Monday; $9; Tampa Theatre; 711 N. •"Claudia Scalise: Petit Fours": Exhibit by the Miami-based painter starts Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. with an opening reception and dance performance and runs through Dec. 22; Bleu Acier, 109 W. Columbus Drive, Tampa, (813) 272-9746.
