ZEPHYRHILLS - Stop into Zephyrhills City Hall sometime soon, and you'll see a different side of the city's mayor, Cliff McDuffie.
You'll see his photographs - shots of French chateaus, giant lily pads in the Amazon River, lighthouses in coastal Michigan - many of them captured on McDuffie's travel excursions.
After 20 years with the Tampa Chamber of Commerce and several with the Zephyrhills chamber, McDuffie, 73, and his wife, Joyce, started traveling. Along the way, they've seen the splendor of exotic locales, including the howler monkeys in Costa Rica, the Red Light District in Amsterdam and sunrises on the Amazon River in Peru.
McDuffie, who spent years shooting weddings as a sideline gig, always brings a camera.
After seeing a recent display of other photographers' work hanging in city hall, McDuffie decided to hang some of his own - and maybe even inspire others to follow suit.
"Maybe if I put my stuff out, maybe people will say, 'Hey, I can do that, too,'" he said.
