A man wanted for several sex crimes in Georgia has been captured in Florida, but not without a fight.
Polk County sheriff's deputies say Christopher Brown, also known as Christopher Holman, fired several shots at them as they tried to arrest him Sunday night at a campsite at the River Ranch Hunt Club in Lake Wales.

Brown, 35, of Pinellas Park, was wanted for child molestation and aggravated sodomy charges. Deputies said Brown failed to show up in court in Georgia to face the charges. Polk County deputies got a tip Brown leased property at the hunting club and was staying at his campsite.
The sheriff's office said when two uniformed deputies arrived to arrest Brown, he ran into his cabin yelling, "I have a gun! I'm coming out shooting!"
He then came out of the cabin and fired at one of the deputies, who returned fire, according to Donna Wood, the sheriff's office public information officer. Brown ran into the woods, continuing to fire at the deputies.
The deputies called for backup, and investigators found Brown at about 9:45 p.m.
Brown is charged with two counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
