TAMPA - A judge today set bail at $25,000 for a 32-year-old youth minister charged on Oct. 4 with two counts of sexual battery on a child younger than 12.
Justin Ray Peterson, who has worked at River of Life Church in Lutz, posted bail Tuesday.
On Oct. 11, Judge Walter Heinrich heard an audiotape in which a woman discussed with Peterson molestation that occurred between 1995 and 1997. On the tape, Peterson acknowledged he molested her and another girl.
Prosecutors asked Heinrich to deny bail while they searched for a possible second victim. Heinrich agreed.
Sheriff's officials said no charges have been filed at this time regarding a second victim.
Judge J. Rogers Padgett set bail at $25,000, to prosecutors' objections. No mention of a second victim was discussed in court today.
