LECANTO - Some of professional wrestling's biggest names and a pair of Tampa Bay Buccaneers are scheduled to appear at a fundraiser Saturday night to benefit a Citrus County facility for abused children.
Florida Championship Wrestling, a part of Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment, is promoting the event where former WWE tag-team champions Deuce & Domino are scheduled to appear with manager Cherry.
Female wrestler Maryse, a star on WWE's "Smackdown," also is set to appear in a three-woman tag-team match, with Lacey Von Erich, daughter of late wrestler Kerry Von Erich, and Nattie Neidhart, daughter of the legendary Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. Other matches include a 30-man battle royal.
Buccaneers Chris Hovan and Dan Buenning are expected to attend the event, which benefits Jessie's Place, a facility named after Jessica Lunsford, a 9-year-old Citrus County girl raped and killed by a neighbor in 2005..
The event at Lecanto High School, 3810 Educational Path, begins around at 8 p.m.; cost is $10. Tickets are on sale at the school Saturday, or at the Citrus County Sheriff's Office.
