CLEARWATER - A 7-year-old girl was hit by a car at Sunset Point and Flora Road today as she walked home from Kings Highway Elementary School with her brother, police said.
Pandora Strandboe was crossing with her 10-yer-old brother when they stopped in the middle of the street. The girl continued to cross and her brother tried to pull her back when she was hit at 2:40 p.m.
She was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Her injuries are not life threatening, police said.
The children did not use a crosswalk. The driver was not cited. The incident is under investigation.
This is the third minor to get hit by a car in Clearwater this week.
