Girl, 7, Struck By Car While Walking Home

CLEARWATER - A 7-year-old girl was hit by a car at Sunset Point and Flora roads as she walked home Thursday from Kings Highway Elementary School with her brother.
Pandora Strandboe was crossing with her 10-year-old brother when they stopped in the middle of the street, Clearwater police said. The girl continued to cross and her brother tried to pull her back when she was hit at 2:40 p.m.
She was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Her injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
The children did not use a crosswalk, and the driver was not cited, police said.
