ST. PETERSBURG - The owner of a jewelry store was arrested on charges of practicing dentistry without a license after making gold teeth for undercover vice and narcotics detectives, police documents say.
Daniel O. Panjarjian
Daniel O. Panjarjian, 62, was arrested Thursday on three counts of practicing dentistry without an active license. Bail was set at $6,000.
Undercover vice and narcotics detectives with the St. Petersburg Police Department repeatedly met Panjarjian at Lakeview Jewelers, 3022 Central Ave., a business that Panjarjian owns, arrest affidavits say.
There Panjarjian at least twice placed a mold tray inside a detective's mouth to make gold teeth, the affidavits show. Several days later, the detective would receive the gold teeth and the mold, the affidavits say.
