TAMPA - After shattering his neighbor's windows with bricks Thursday night, a Tampa man kicked in her front door, shoved her and smashed in the windshield of her car, authorities said.
On Oct. 29, Joseph David Steele's neighbor, Debra Perez, had obtained a protective order from Hillsborough County Circuit Court to prohibit Steele from contacting her or coming within 500 feet of her, court records show.
At about 10:10 p.m. Thursday, 22-year-old Steele, of 10155 Cedar Dune Drive, violated the court order, deputies said. After breaking her living room and bedroom windows, Steele forced his way inside, went to the hallway outside her bedroom and pushed her, according to an arrest report. He then walked out and damaged her car, deputies said.
On Friday, Steele remained in Orient Road Jail without bail facing several charges, including burglary, battery and violating a protective order.
