NEW PORT RICHEY - A 22-year-old man injured in a shooting last night has died, Assistant Police Chief Darryl W. Garman said this morning.
Jose Godineaux died as a result of his injuries sustained in a shooting that happened about 8 p.m. Friday at 5450 St. James Street. The 911 call came in as "a gunshot to the head.''

Police have not determined the motive for the shooting but said the suspect, who has not been identified, appeared to know the victim.
