Adaris Bellamy of Dunedin broke the school's 18-year-old rushing record of 1,472 yards with 142 yards in a loss to Dixie Hollins.
"Dixie outplayed us; we need to play better," Dunedin coach Mark Everett said after Dixie's upset win.
The Rebels offense performed well despite seven starters not playing, including star running back Mike Towns.
"Dixie came to play, and they have a lot to be proud of," Everett said.
With playoffs on the horizon, Everett said, "it's a new day Monday."
