THE DIFFERENCE: Tampa Bay Tech sophomore fullback Maurice Hagens rushed for a game-high 212 yards on 39 carries, while scoring all three of the Titans' touchdowns.
GAME NOTES: Tampa Bay Tech captured its first winning season since 2001 with the victory. … Titans quarterback Mario Tucker had 91 yards, 31 rushing yards on eight carries and was 3-for-6 for 60 yards and one interception. … King junior quarterback Keith Graham struggled in the passing game going 0-for-6 with three interceptions. … The Titans defense swarmed over the field, holding King to 104 yards offense. … Tampa Bay Tech did its damage on the ground by rushing for 286 yards. … Lions RB Jameel Jackson led the team with 36 yards rushing on four carries.
STAT OF THE GAME: The Lions and Cougars combined to draw 21 penalties for 131 yards. Tampa Bay Tech had 13 penalties for 95 yards, while the Lions had eight for 36 yards.
