Video: Family Makes Plea
BRADENTON - Family and friends of a 34-year-old man killed in a hit and run held signs on Sunday about closure and asking the public to find the driver responsible for his death.
The group stood silently along Highway 301 with signs "Please find our friend's Killer," among others.
Ian Delasalas, of Bradenton, and his brother were driving to work on Oct. 4 at night when a white Ford F-150 hit their car from behind. Delasalas was killed after the Honda spun out of control and crashed into a light pole at U.S. 41/301, police said.
Police are looking for the driver of the pick up truck.
Delasalas's mother, Remy, wants the drive to come forward.
"You know, assume your responsibility," she said. "It's your fault. It's nobody else's fault."
