Air Freshener Used In Child Abuse, Police Say

A woman struck her child on the back of the head with a metal air freshener can Saturday, causing bleeding and a large bump, Tampa police say.

Police arrested Anequa L. Ricks, 33, at her home on Saturday.

The Tampa woman faces a felony count of aggravated child abuse.

Ricks, of 2626 E. Emma St., remains in Orient Road Jail with no bail set.
