Machinery Crushes Worker in Heritage Harbour

EAST MANATEE - Authorities investigated a fatal accident where a workman pulling trees in the Heritage Harbour subdivision was crushed by equipment.
The man was working in the 600 block of River Crane Street near River Strand Golf Club around 1:30 p.m. when the accident happened., according to police radio roadcasts.
Authorities are continuing their investigation this afternoon, but have not released the man's identity or more specifics on how the accident happened.
