THE STARTING FIVE

COLETTE EULE,

TAMPA CATHOLIC

5-8, Forward, Sophomore

About Eule: A consummate gym rat who is continuously working on her shot. It's not unusual for Eule to arrive first at practice and be the last one to leave. As a freshman, she averaged 12 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals per game. With Eule's work ethic and dedication, the sky's the limit as to how good she can become.

Coachspeak: "We are very blessed to have sensational sophomore Colette Eule's work ethic in games and in practice. She scores, battles for every rebound, plays defense, steals the ball and leads the team in charges taken. She is the hardest-working athlete I have coached in the last 15 years and has vastly improved her overall game." - Crusaders coach Nancy Kroll
PARIS MOORE, BLOOMINGDALE

5-6, Guard, Senior

About Moore: She is a tireless worker whose motor never stops. As one of the county's most athletic players, Moore has her hand in every aspect of the game. Last season, she averaged 17 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.7 steals and 3 assists per game. Moore set a school single-game record for steals with 13 against Brandon.

Coachspeak: "I think Paris Moore is the most exciting player to watch that I have seen in my eight seasons as a head coach. Her strengths are defense, handling the ball against pressure and scoring in transition. When others may wear down in the fourth quarter, I honestly believe that Paris gets stronger as the game goes on." - Bulls coach Mike Kiser
CHANELE PATTON, BLAKE

5-9, Forward, Senior

About Patton: With graduation and transfers depleting the Yellow Jackets' roster, Patton will have to step up and shoulder most of the load. She's more than capable of playing with a bull's eye on her back, however, and should improve on last season's numbers of 12.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

Coachspeak: "Chanele is one of those players you could put anywhere on the floor and she can make things happen. I look forward to Chanele being basically one of our top go-to players. The experience and knowledge she brings to the game is going to make it difficult for opponents. Some of the most important attributes Chanele brings is that she is unselfish and portrays good leadership qualities. But what I love most about her is that there is no quit in her and that's going to be a key asset to the Lady Yellow Jackets." - Yellow Jackets coach Calvin Barrs

SHAWNTA SNAKOVSKY,

SICKLES

5-7, Guard, Senior

About Snakovsky: Arguably the best pure shooter in the county. In averaging 16.9 points per game last season, she led the county in 3-pointers with 72. She shot 55 percent from the floor - 40 percent from 3-point range. She scored 20 or more points eight times and reached double figures in 24 of 26 games.

Coachspeak: "Shawnta is a very athletic player that loves to compete and win. She is a pure shooter and sees the court very well. She is very dedicated to getting better every day and has done a nice job being a leader to our team. The thing that I am the proudest about is her improvement and dedication to become a better student in the classroom." - Gryphons coach Mark Key

AYALA WASSER, TAMPA PREP

5-5, Guard, Junior

About Wasser: She is the county's leading returning scorer after averaging 18.3 points per game as a sophomore. Despite being defenses' focal point, Wasser scored 20 points or more 11 times. She also averaged 5 assists and 3 steals per game.

Coachspeak: "I've been coaching for 13 years nine in Connecticut and have been a part of some great teams, and I tell you Ayala could've played on any of them; she's that good. She's a great leader for us. Ayala is 10 times the person she is the player. The turnaround we're trying to accomplish here at Tampa Prep starts with her." - Terrapins coach Greg Linley
