Super Bowl Official Among Teach-In Participants

Schools in the Tampa Bay area will come alive today during the annual Great American Teach-In. Thousands of people come into public schools for an hour or a day to share a hobby, an interest, a career or practical skills.
Among speakers expected this year are an ice cream maker, who will visit Apollo Beach Elementary School, a USF soccer coach, who will talk to students at Benito Middle School and the director of operations for the 2009 Super Bowl, who will stop by Jefferson High School.
The event, which takes place during American Education Week, is designed to show students the benefits of getting an education.
