TAMPA - University of South Florida senior CBs Mike Jenkins and Trae Williams, called the nation's best cornerback duo by Mel Kiper Jr., received invitations to postseason senior bowls.
Jenkins and Williams have been invited to play in the East-West Shrine Game at the University of Houston on Jan. 19. Jenkins also was invited to play in the Under Armour Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Jan. 26.
INJURY UPDATE: RT Walt Walker, who has been out since Oct. 18 with a knee injury, returned to practice Monday.
WR Amarri Jackson (knee) and DT Aaron Harris, who wore a protective boot on his left ankle, did not practice and likely will miss Saturday's game against Louisville.
WR Dontavia Bogan (hip) and RB Ben Williams (ankle) practiced, while RT Marc Dile (neck stinger) and K Justin Teachy did not, but Leavitt said "they'll be all right."
ODDS AND ENDS: USF's Nov. 24 game at Pittsburgh will kick off at noon, but which Tampa Bay area channel it will be shown on hasn't been determined yet. ... QB Matt Grothe was named to the Big East weekly honor roll.
