GAINESVILLE - GAINESVILLE - University of Florida WR Percy Harvin is still battling health issues and was again absent from the practice field Wednesday.
Florida coach Urban Meyer said the wide receiver was in the health center with more migraine problems.
"They had him hooked up on IVs," Meyer said. "I got to find out more when I get inside. He was not in good shape when I saw him."
Harvin tried to return to the field Tuesday with a morning workout, but the physical activity proved to be too much for him. His symptoms flared up again, and he missed Tuesday's afternoon practice.
The wide receiver has been out for more than a week with what is assumed to be a sinus infection and migraines.
QB SHUFFLE: Backup QB Cameron Newton may play against Florida Atlantic on Saturday.
Meyer said the freshmen has had two excellent weeks of practice, but he hasn't decided if Newton will sub for Tim Tebow to provide relief or if he will sub late in the game.
"We're having that conversation, which is something we haven't had earlier because he was injured and he just wasn't developed," Meyer said. "Now he's really done a nice job."
Newton has played in four games this season, completing four of six passes, and has gained 57 yards on 10 rushes.
INJURY REPORT: RG Maurkice Pouncey (high ankle sprain) didn't practice, but Meyer is still hopeful the freshman will be back in time for Saturday's game.
"We had shoulder pads on him, and he did no contact work but he's moving around," Meyer said. "I think we might have him. He's a tough guy."
Pouncey's backup, Maurice Hurt, is also on the mend with a shoulder injury, so he also did not practice.
If both players miss Saturday's game, Meyer expects redshirt freshman Marcus Gilbert to step in.
