Motorcyclist Dies In Collision With Truck In Lakeland

LAKELAND - A man died about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday when his motorcycle crashed into the trailer of a semi-truck turning in front of it, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
The man, Ryan Lain, of Bryan Road, had a birthday Sunday. He was 21.
Lain's black 2005 Yamaha 600 sport motorcycle was traveling north on County Line
Road just south of Interstate 4 in Lakeland, Rodgers said. A white 2000 Kenworth tractor-trailer was pulling out of Great Oak Drive to turn south on County Line Road, sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Rodgers said.
The motorcycle collided with the trailer and was dragged beneath its rear wheels, Rodgers said.
The truck driver has not been identified.
No other information was immediately available.
