St. Petersburg police are asking for help identifying the people who broke into a cellular phone store Tuesday night.
A surveillance camera caught four people using a sledgehammer to break into the AT&T Cellular Mobile Phone store at 5012 Fourth St. N. about 7:30 p.m. Three of the burglars used hoods to hide their identity, and the fourth man wore a baseball cap.
Police think somebody might be able to identify the man in the cap.
Another camera videotaped the thieves unsuccessfully trying to break into a cabinet with a sledgehammer and a crowbar. Police say the burglars were after iPhones but ended up stealing boxes that either had cell phones or were empty.
Anyone with information can Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
