University of Tampa students try to stay warm as firefighters check their dormitory for damage.

TAMPA – Some University of Tampa students spent part of the cold night outside after somebody started a fire outside their dormitory.

Tampa Fire Rescue found palm trees burning outside Straz Hall about 2 a.m. Firefighters extinguished the flames and checked the building for damage before allowing the students to return to their rooms.

No one was injured.
