Published: November 16, 2007

Rachael Ray is hitting back at tabloid rumors that her marriage is on the rocks.

During a taping of her talk show, the normally bubbly cook said constant reports about the state of her marriage to John Cusimano are starting to upset her, an observer told People magazine.

"Everybody gossips ... but this stuff is hurting people's feelings who are in our families and friends of ours," Ray told the audience on the show, set to air today. "They worry about us."

Continued Ray, 39: "There's always someone that's going to be telling stories behind your back, but this is too much."

She also told the audience that "the tabloids won't stop printing this junk until people stop buying it."

A spokesperson for Ray confirms she spoke about the tabloid rumors, and adds, "Rachael and John have never been happier."

Hefner Donates $2 Million To School

Hugh Hefner has donated $2 million to the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.

The money will fund a central exhibition space in the new headquarters of the school and an archival repository for student films and historic documents, the university said.

The existing repository, which bears Hefner's name, holds more than eight decades of student films, including some by George Lucas.

"I've always believed that following one's dreams is very important," Hefner said in a statement from USC.

Davis Returning To 'Trading Spaces'

Paige Davis is moving back to TLC's "Trading Spaces."

The Broadway actress and TV host will return to the once-popular home makeover series beginning in January, the network said in a statement Thursday.

In 2005, TLC announced Davis would no longer host "Trading Spaces" and transitioned the series to a hostless format.

Davis had perkily hosted the show, which features neighbors swapping homes and redecorating a room, since 2001. Besides "Trading Spaces," she's also appeared on Broadway in "Beauty and the Beast" and "Chicago."

The new season begins shooting this month and will be filmed in high-definition. Designers Doug Wilson, Laurie Hickson-Smith, Frank Bielec and Hildi Santo-Thomas also will return to the show, alongside carpenters and other designers to be announced later.

Lohan Spends 84 Minutes In Jail

Lindsay Lohan was a jailbird for just 84 minutes Thursday, becoming the latest celebrity to serve less than a day for a drunken driving offense.

Lohan, 21, turned herself in to a Los Angeles County women's detention center at 10:30 a.m. She was searched, fingerprinted and placed in a holding cell in the inmate reception area but got to keep her street clothes, sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

"She was cooperative," he said.

Lohan was released at 11:54 a.m. Her daylong sentence was reduced because she met criteria that took into account overcrowding at the lockup and the fact that her crime was nonviolent, Whitmore said.
