GAINESVILLE - University of Florida WR Percy Harvin continued to undergo IV treatments as he battles persistent migraines.
Gators coach Urban Meyer said the sophomore was in the infirmary all day Thursday, which makes his stay about four days running. He will not play against Florida Atlantic on Saturday.
Meyer said Harvin's parents came to Gainesville to be with their son for the past three days.
"He's feeling a little bit better," Meyer said. "We're all hoping. ... I imagine sometime we'll have a release, I guess."
Harvin was originally diagnosed with a sinus infection and migraines more than a week ago.
This is not the first time one of Meyer's players has been incapacitated with migraines.
During Meyer's tenure at Utah, the team's captain, Morgan Scalley, also suffered from the headaches.
"I've seen them shut a player down for four days before," Meyer said. "It's awful."
POUNCEY TO PLAY: Even though Harvin is out, the Gators did receive some good news: that RG Maurkice Pouncey will be able to play Saturday.

Weatherford Feeling Fine Despite Concussion
TALLAHASSEE - FSU QB Drew Weatherford said Thursday he has not been bothered in practice this week by the vicious hit and ensuing concussion he suffered in Saturday's 41-20 loss to Virginia Tech, and is a full-go for Maryland.
"I feel really good," Weatherford said after practice Thursday. "I've heard stories about how bad it is the next couple days, but I was surprised. I feel 100 percent and I'm ready to go."
Weatherford said the concussion was his first, with the exception of a minor head injury in high school, and won't go into Saturday's match-up holding anything back.
"I haven't even thought about it," Weatherford said on taking the first hit. "I'm not worried about it at this point. My head feels fine.
"At this point we've just got to go out and play well. It's definitely important for us to go out and play a full, complete game and continue playing like we were in the first two games before Virginia Tech."
In those two games, wins against Duke and Boston College, Weatherford completed 69 percent of his passes while throwing for close to 700 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
ROSE TO START: Sophomore LT Daron Rose said Thursday his knee has held up well this week in practice despite trainers' expectations and he will start Saturday against Maryland.

Leavitt Predicts Fireworks Saturday
TAMPA - With the University of South Florida's recent struggles and Louisville trying to salvage a disappointing season, practically all of the luster has been lost from Saturday's matchup.
"It is going to be a game you're going to want to be at. You're going to see a lot of explosive plays on both sides of the field," USF coach Jim Leavitt said. "It is going to be one heck of a football game. Both teams are battling for a position in the conference; both teams are battling for bowl-type situations. There is a lot on the line."
RELIEF FOR GROTHE: After RB Mike Ford rushed 28 times for 134 yards and two TDs at Syracuse, QB Matt Grothe, who had led the team in carries in each of the four games leading up to last week's contest, said his body didn't take as much of a beating against the Orange.
"I felt a lot better Monday at practice," Grothe said. "Mike did a good job. We just have to continue stressing the running game, and that is just going to open up bigger and better things in the passing game for us."

Shannon Unsure Of RB Cooper's Status
CORAL GABLES - A decision has not been made on running back Graig Cooper's status, according to Coach Randy Shannon.
"Don't know yet, I will probably know after I see the doctor tonight," Shannon said.
Shannon said Cooper, who is wearing a brace on his right knee, practiced a little bit Thursday, but is not 100 percent.
DE Courtney Harris will not play and the Hurricanes will have six defensive linemen healthy for Virginia Tech.
