TAMPA - Chamberlain kicker Austin Pullaro just wanted another shot to make up for his missed extra point early in the fourth quarter. Chiefs quarterback Dontae Aycock handed that opportunity over to his junior kicker.

After driving 46 yards to get into field goal range, Pullaro nailed a 43-yard field goal to give the Chiefs a thrilling 26-25 victory over the Wharton Wildcats in the Class 5A-Region 2 quarterfinal.

Chamberlain advanced to the regional semifinal to face Gaither.

Chamberlain coach Billy Turner was happy to walk away with a victory.

"You won't see a more exciting game on any level - college or pro - that was some tremendous football played," Turner said. "I give Wharton credit they took it to us, but I have to give our kids credit because that last drive was something you dream about, storybook."

With less than a minute remaining and two timeouts, Aycock calmly led the Chiefs down the field, completing 3-of-4 pass attempts for 34 yards. Aycock hit Francisco Llanos with an 18-yard pass and found Fred Sykes for six yards to set up the field goal.

The big play of the drive was a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty on Wharton that moved the ball to midfield.

"Penalties can hurt you," Wharton coach David Mitchell said. "We had the penalty that gave them 15 yards. If you take that penalty away, there is no field goal.
