NEW PORT RICHEY - As the search for a missing young mother continues, divers are expected this week to explore the lake in her Colony Lakes Estates subdivision.
Stefanie Francique, 24, disappeared Nov. 5 from the Colony Lakes Estates home she shared with her father and stepmother, leaving behind a 4-year-old daughter.
About 50 people searched the wooded area behind the home Saturday, covering about a 10-mile radius, said Tammy Richardson, who organized the search.
The search team found a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, T-shirts, sunglasses and latex gloves.
Investigators think the cigarettes are the brand Francique smoked, said Pasco County Sheriff's Office spokesmen Doug Tobin.
"It wasn't by the water, but it was in close proximity to her house," he said. "It's another piece of evidence that may lead us to where she's at."
The sheriff's office has received few leads in Francique's disappearance, Tobin said.
