ORLANDO - The turkey to be pardoned by President Bush is going to Disney World.
When the president performs the 60th annual "pardoning of the turkey" ritual today, the winning Thanksgiving bird will get a first-class flight to Orlando on a United Airlines jet and will have a red-carpet entry to Walt Disney World. Visitors to Magic Kingdom can see the bird on Thanksgiving Day.
The turkey will also serve as grand marshal of the holiday parade before joining the resort's permanent live-animal collection.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, this is the first pardoned turkey to be sent to Disney World. Two others have gone to Disneyland.
