Ocala Man Charged With Soliciting Sex With Children

A 56-year-old Ocala man was arrested today and charged with soliciting sex over the Internet with an adult and her two children under 16, Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

Ricky Richard Savage, of 2161 N.E. 37th Ave., Ocala, was arrested at 1 p.m. at an undisclosed location in north Pinellas County, where he thought he was going to meet a parent and two children, deputies said.

Using instant messaging in October, Savage said he wanted a meeting with the parent and children, and expressed a desire to engage in sexual activity, deputies said. He thought he was communicating with a parent when he graphically described the sex acts to be performed on the juveniles, deputies said.

Savage was arrested as he arrived for the meeting, deputies said.

An undercover sheriff's office detective assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit posed as the parent.
