FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. - Joey Harrington will start at quarterback for Atlanta against Indianapolis on Thursday after Bryon Leftwich missed practice with a bruised tailbone.
Meanwhile, defensive tackles Rod Coleman (hand, triceps) and Trey Lewis (knee) were placed on injured reserve, ending the seasons. Coach Bobby Petrino said the team was concerned that Coleman and Lewis might risk serious injury if they continued to play.
COWBOYS: Receiver Patrick Crayton missed practice because of a sprained left ankle and may miss the Thanksgiving game against the Jets.
GIANTS: Linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka was placed on injured reserve, two days after he broke his left leg during a victory against the Lions.
JAGUARS: Released quarterback Todd Bouman two days after David Garrard returned to the starting lineup.
REDSKINS: Signed receiver Anthony Mix, reuniting quarterback Jason Campbell with one of his former Auburn teammates. Mix becomes the seventh receiver on the Redskins roster in a season in which the team has struggled to find the right combination of wideouts.
STEELERS: Strong safety Troy Polamalu (knee) and wide receiver Santonio Holmes (ankle) seem certain to miss at least one game and possibly more because of injuries.
