GULF HARBORS - Lindrick Service Corp. is advising residents of Perry Place and Lawrence Lane to boil water for cooking or drinking until tests show it's safe to consume.
The company said water service would be shut off today for several hours to repair a break in a main line caused by subcontractors working in the area, according to the utility.
People should bring water to a rolling boil for one minute or use bottled water, Lindrick said.
An independent agency will test the water, and that could take a few days, Lindrick says in a written statement.
For details, call the utility at (727) 848-1165.
