Nagelsen McCormack was the world's top junior player in 1973.

She was known for her power in her serve-and-volley game. Her singles wins included those against Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario.

Nagelsen McCormack won the over-35 women's doubles championships at Wimbledon in 1993 and won back-to-back titles in the U.S. Open Senior women's doubles in 1993 and 1994, while working as a commentator for ABC, ESPN and Australia's Channel Nine.

She and her late husband Mark founded the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center at the College of William & Mary, providing a home for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Women's Hall of Fame.
