HOLIDAY - West Pasco County is scheduled to regain a dealership dedicated to new Volkswagens early next year.
The showroom is being built in Holiday by Suncoast AutoBuilders under project manager Mike Johnson.
Kelly Volkswagen is supposed to open in February at 3102 U.S. 19, a bit north of Gulf Trace Boulevard and south of Moog Road on the east side of the highway. The two-story showroom will cover some 19,700 square feet.
The service department will include 13 bays, a double wash bay and a double detail bay, according to plans posted on the company's Web site.
Based in Clearwater, Suncoast AutoBuilders 'is a full-service commercial development firm that specializes in the planning, design, permitting and construction of automobile dealership facilities,' the Web site says. Suncoast has contracted with more than 300 dealers since 1987.
West Pasco has not had a Volkswagen dealer since Gateway Honda in Port Richey dropped the German car from its product lineup many years ago.
