Dundee Woman Dies In Crash

WINTER HAVEN - A Dundee woman was killed Saturday night when her car collided with a pickup on U.S. 92, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

The crash occurred about 7 p.m. just west of Lynchburg Road.

Donna B. Adams, 57, was eastbound on U.S. 92 when she pulled her 2005 Hyundai into the northbound turn lane and into the path of a 1992 Ford Ranger driven by James Burnett, 43, of Auburndale, deputies said.

Adams died at the scene. Burnett and his son had minor injuries and were treated at the scene, the sheriff's office said.

An investigation was under way.
