TAMPA - A 60-year-old man is being held without bail today after sheriff's deputies accused him of growing marijuana inside his house.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested Oscar Rodriguez of 10004 Memorial Highway in Tampa on Thursday after searching his house under a warrant, investigators said.
Authorities found 55 marijuana plants, equipment for growing the plants, 3 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, the sheriff's office said.
The marijuana weighed 40.2 pounds, the sheriff's office said. Investigators estimated the street value of the marijuana and the cocaine at $40,000.
Rodriguez is charged with felony marijuana trafficking, felony manufacture of marijuana, felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
