Open House Focuses On Fire Prevention

TARPON SPRINGS - Fire prevention will be the theme of an open house at Station 70 on Saturday.

The event, sponsored by Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the station, 1025 Gulf Road just east of Tarpon Springs High School. The 30-year-old station, which has been recently renovated, will be open for tours.

Safety and emergency preparedness demonstrations are planned. There will be free hot dogs, pizza, cold drinks and activities for children.
