LARGO - A man was arrested Tuesday after people saw him waving what looked like an assault rifle from the balcony of the InTown Suites at 2833 Roosevelt Blvd., Largo police say.
It actually was an air gun capable of firing yellow pellets, Lt. Mike Loux said.
Daniel J. O'Neill, 22, address unknown, was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. He had a marijuana pipe in his possession, Loux said.
O'Neill said he was using the air gun – which bore a striking resemblance to an assault rifle – to shoot pellets at his car in the parking lot, Loux said. Police received a call about what he was doing at 11:30 a.m.
